I initially published my YIMBY / Housing rankings of the candidates on September 20. Now even more data is available:
- I have integrated candidate responses to the Mountain View Voice’s questionnaire.
- I have now integrated council correspondence as a data source for rankings, for situations where the candidate had not also made public comment on the item.
Many of the letters I found were repeats of what was already said in public comment, but many others served to confirm our existing expectations and reduce error bars in the data. One significant highlight on housing was from Paymer, who advocated for more density near where she lives. On the Voice Questionnaire, the candidates agreed on many of the early housing questions, but there was a real split on state law and whether to accept higher densities in R1 areas.
